What payment protection do I have if I book a Wild Herzegovina birdwatching holiday?

Safeguarding your payment to Wild Herz Ltd.
Wild Herz Ltd is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with "The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018" all passengers booking with Wild Herz Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Wild Herz Ltd. This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Chapman Stevens through Zurich Insurance PLC.
Claims:
In the unlikely event of Insolvency, you must Inform Towergate Chapman Stevens immediately on +44 (0) 1932 334140 or by email at tcs@towergate.co.uk . Please ensure you retain the booking confirmation as evidence of cover and value.
Policy exclusions:
This policy will not cover any monies paid for Travel Insurance or any claim relating to Air Flights. If you have booked flights as part of your travel, you should ensure that the company with which you booked the flights has the appropriate CAA/ATOL bonds in place.

Do I need a Visa?
Visas are not required for EU citizens.
EU passport holders travelling to Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina must have an up-to-date passport valid for travel six months beyond the date of return.
Does Wild Herzegovina book flights?
Wild Herzegovina does not have an Air Travel Organiser's Licence, therefore we are unable to book flights for our customers. You should book your own flight to Dubrovnik.

When should I purchase my airline ticket?
We always encourage everyone to book their flights as soon as possible. Many airlines tend to increase their fare as the plane fills up and early reservations are usually rewarded with the lowest fares.
Should I take out travel insurance?
We expect all tour participants to have comprehensive travel insurance covering any medical situation, hospitalisation, cancellation and loss of your baggage.
What weather & temperatures/conditions should I expect?
The climate is Mediterranean in the small stretch of plain near the sea (see Mostar), it is colder and more continental in Dinaric Alps, mainly because of altitude. The temperatures in spring are usually warm and pleasant.

Where do we meet the guide?
You will meet the guide at Dubrovnik airport. If you decided to come to Dubrovnik before the start of the tour, the guide will come to collect you from your holiday accommodation in Dubrovnik.
I am a single traveller - do I have to share a room with someone?
No, you are not expected to share your room with anyone and we don't charge single supplements.
Does Wild Herzegovina cater for special diets?
Yes.
We need to be told in advance and we will do our best to cater for all your dietary needs.
How fit will I need to be and what is the pace of the tour?
A moderate level of fitness is required. The tour consists of very easy walking and relaxed-paced birdwatching on relatively flat terrain. We will never be too far away from our vehicle.
What is your smoking policy on tour?
Wild Herzegovina operates a no smoking policy when in the company of other members of the group, in the booked accommodation and vehicles.
What is the local currency in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
The currency used in Bosnia and Herzegovina is Convertible Mark (BAM). You can withdraw the local currency from any cashpoint in Mostar. Euros are also widely accepted.
Do you organise private tours?
Yes.
Wild Herzegovina can organise a customized private tour for individuals, families, special interest groups, birding and wildlife clubs, as well as other tour operators.
Does Wild Herzegovina look at other wildlife?
We're enjoying whatever other wildlife we encounter (butterflies, dragonflies, orchids) though birds are our main focus and area of expertise.
